State Timber Corporation welcomes Hon. Susil Premajayantha Minister of Environment and Renewable Energy. A legal luminary, mature politician and an experienced Administrator he was the former Chief Minister of Western Provincial Council, Minister of Education, Minister of Power and Energy, Minister of Petroleum Industries and current General Secretary of UPFA. Therefore his experience and able leadership will help us to continue and enhance the achievements we have already gained in the fields of human, financial, physical and information resources with the ultimate aim of achieving the corporate goals in an efficient and effective manner combined with a new vision for the future.

Hon. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Minister of Environment is a soft spoken, calm and a seasoned politician of high integrity and honesty. Under his able guidance and direction State Timber Corporation achieved the highest turnover in its 45 years existence and contributed approximately Rs. 2000 million to National Economy. Vying with several private and public sector enterprises, State Timber Corporation was able to acquire the 'National Business Excellence Award' consecutively during the years 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012 awarded by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka proving the high professional standards achieved by the Corporation, under the tutelage of Hon. Anura Priyadharshana Yapa, Minister of Environment.

The standpoint "Deva Jawayata Nawa Jawayak" provided to the strength for the State Timber Corporation to win the Excellence Merit AWARD· at The National Business Excellence Awards - 2012 awarded by the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka which is recognized as "Bench mark of excellence among business commiunity" which prove the high professional standards achived by the corporation of being the only public sector institution to win this award in 2009/2010/2011 & 2012.

A ceremony to distribute 6 Lorries to the Regional Offices & Furniture Showroom was held at STC Head Office on 04th December 2012.
Hon. Anura Priyadarshana Yapa, Minister of Environment participated as chief guest and handed over the Lorries.
 
 
 
Regional Offices of Ampara, Kandy, Polonnarowa & Ratnapura received the Lorries with Crain and Furniture showroom received Aluminium Body Lorry & Container Body Lorry.
